"Youth Festival of Robotics - 2024" united young designers and forms a professional environment of engineers of the future. This annual event is held for participants under 30 years of age. The competition program includes 4 categories: robot sumo competition, Labyrinth, championship in a team project and line follower. Regardless of age and nomination, competition participants solve complex design and technological problems. The main goals of the festival are to identify talented youth, interest them in information technology, popularize robotics, increase the motivation of schoolchildren and students for technical design and modeling. The competition will be held for two days - December 7 and 8 in the sports complex of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas (MUOG). The fact that MUOG became the venue for the festival is evidence that this university chooses robotics as a strategic direction for development, in particular, it is already thinking about training personnel for the industry. The number of people wishing to take part in the competition is growing from year to year. This year the competition is much greater: more than 250 participants from all regions of the country, 18 prize places are provided. This indicates a growing interest in robotics. Each participant, regardless of the outcome of the competition, receives a certificate and memorable gifts. The winners will receive a generous reward - smart TVs. To participate in the festival, everyone registered online and sent an application to the Organizing Committee. The youngest participant is 7 years old. The jury members are gurus (experts) in their field and have tremendous experience. The main organizer of the festival this year is the Innovative Scientific and Educational Center MUNG. It is worth noting that the center has accumulated extensive experience in holding such events. This year alone, the Innovative Scientific and Educational Center took part in organizing and holding the II Open International Olympiad in Informatics among students of Turkmen and foreign universities, as well as the scientific and practical conference and exhibition "Scientific views of students in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state." And in 2023, a laboratory of refrigeration and climate systems was opened in the center with the assistance of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) within the framework of the project "Organizational plan of measures to abandon hydrochlorofluorocarbons."
The organizers thought through everything to the smallest detail so that the work of the festival went smoothly and everyone had vivid impressions for a long time. Undoubtedly, the festival has become a platform for exchanging experiences and acquiring new knowledge. Only on the sites, having become rivals, the guys make new friends and like-minded people.
An exhibition of robots and modern technologies has been launched at the event, which provides interactive zones. Technical universities, specialized schools and educational centers of the country are taking part in the exhibition. Many robots are demonstrated for the first time in Turkmenistan. The advanced engineering developments presented at the exhibition are designed not only to amaze, but also to shape the worldview. The company "PETRONAS Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn Bhd", which closely cooperates with MUNiG, organized a fascinating show of the AnymalX robot, which attracted great attention from all participants and guests of the project. Robotics today is a technological mainstream for the country as a whole. Holding such competitions for young people gives them the opportunity to declare themselves and at the same time immerse themselves in the complex world of technology in a playful way. Many of those who simply "played" here today will become some of the most sought-after engineers in the labor market in the future.
